The diagram below is displayed as a resource to give you an idea of how the data is collected for the Utah Trauma Project and how that data is disseminated to the public.
Data Entry: Trauma data input into database by individual hospitals or the Intermountain Injury Control Center (IICRC).
Data Uploaded: State mandated fields upload from individual hospitals to the main Trauma Database at the IICR
Data Validation: Annual data cleaning and validation checks performed by the IICRC.
Trauma Cube: Tool to query statewide trauma data on Utah Trauma website (available to hospitals and others who are granted access)
Public Resources: Various trauma fact sheets and reports available to the public.
